KHULNA: Another case was filed against Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia with Phultala Thana of the district on Friday for ‘instigating arson’ attack in a passenger bus in the area Thursday night.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of the thana Ilias Fakir told banglanews that Khaleda Zia was made accused in the case over torching a bus at Damodar Primary School area under Phultala upazila.

Sub-inspector (SI) of the Thana Khairul Bashar filed the case against 60-70 people naming 54 including district BNP general secretary Shafiqul Alam Mona.

Police already have arrested seven accused in this connection.

On Thursday night, pro-blockaders torched a bus in front of Damodar Primary School amid countrywide indefinite blockade called by BNP-led 20-party alliance.
