LAKSHMIPUR: Police recovered the body of a leader of Jubo Dal, youth front of BNP, from a canal of Neyamatpur Dolakandi area under Sadar upazila of the district on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as M Babul, 25, assistant organizing secretary of Bhangakhan Union unit Jubo Dal and son of Habib Ullah Ajgar of Radpur village.    

Confirming the matter, Lakshmipur Sadar Thana duty officer sub-inspector Nurjahan said unidentified miscreants shot Babul to death and left the body at the canal.

Being informed from locals, police rushed in and sent the body to Sadar Hospital morgue at 9:00am.
