DHAKA: At least four vehicles were torched in different areas of the city on Wednesday during continuous hartal and blockade enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance.

In Jurain, some alleged hartal and blockade supporters torched a bus in Rail Gate area around 6:45pm.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, duty officer Nilufar Yasmin of Fire Service Control Room said two units of fire fighters rushed to the spot to douse the fire.

In Jatrabari, a bus of ‘Shikor Paribahan’ was torched by alleged blockaders in front of Dutch-Bangla Bank office in Golapbagh area around 6:30pm.

In Sayedabad, alleged hartal and blockade supporters torched another vehicle in front of a police outpost around 6:30pm.

In Rampura, a truck was torched by miscreants supporting hartal in the area.

Moreover, they also blasted cocktails in the area that created panic among the pedestrians.
