Spanish Ambassador to Bangladesh Gabriel Sistiaga Ochoa de Chinchetru met Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman at his office in Bashundhara, Dhaka, today.

During the meeting, the two discussed the prevailing situation in Bangladesh, bilateral relations, potential investment opportunities, and other matters of mutual international interest.

Ambassador Chinchetru expressed optimism about future cooperation, assuring that Spain will continue to provide strong support to Bangladesh. He also expressed hope that Spanish investment in the country will grow in the coming years.

Jamaat Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Dhaka City North Jamaat Medical Police Station Ameer Dr SM Khaliduzzaman, and the party’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Professor Dr Mahmudul Hasan, among others, attended the meeting.

At the start of the discussions, the Spanish envoy inquired about Dr Shafiqur Rahman’s health, extending his wishes for his well-being.
