DHAKA: Miscreants blasted cocktails in front of Jhigatala residence of Awami League advisory council member Suranjit Sengupta in the city on Wednesday night.
Hazaribagh Thana officer-in-charge Mainul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
“Suranjit Sengupta was not at home during the cocktail-blast. We have deployed additional polices in the area and tightened security,” he added.
No one, however, was detained in this connection, he added.
