DHAKA: Eminent lawyer Barrister Rafiqul Haque claimed that police know the whereabouts of ‘missing’ BNP joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed.

The veteran lawyer came up with this assertion while visiting the ‘missing’ leader’s wife Hasina Ahmed at her Gulshan residence of the city Saturday afternoon.

Expressing sympathy to the family members of the BNP leader, Barrister Rafiqul said, “I hope that Salahuddin is alive, but he is confined somewhere”.

While speaking with the veteran lawyer, Hasina Ahmed said there is no trace of his husband as 18 days have been passed after his ‘missing’.

She also mentioned her memorandum to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and commented that she but did not get any response.

Hasina informed the barrister that she could talk with her husband twice after his ‘missing’.

‘No ransom for him was demanded,’ she added.
