DHAKA: Jatiya Party (JP) chairman and also Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s special envoy HM Ershad commented that no new job opportunity has been created in the country since his departure from state power.

The former president made the comment in a meeting with telecommunications employees at Banani party office in city on Monday.

He further said that workers in the country are passing miserable days. There is no new job opportunity.

Terming JP tenure a ‘golden age’, the party chief also said that only his party can ensure the interest of workers community.

JP general secretary Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, presidium member Sunil Shubha Roy, telecommunication workers council president Syed Ahmed and its general secretary Zakir Hossain were, among others, present at the meeting.
