DHAKA: Ruling Awami League (AL)-supported candidate of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Anisul Haque said he does not feel any pressure though BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia joined city election campaigns for his competitor.
He made the remark while campaigning at Paikpara Nutun Bazar in city’s Mirpur area Sunday morning.
The eminent businessman said people will cast votes for the capable candidates. It is not important that who are joining the campaign.
“The contenders, staying by people to solve their problems, will be elected in the polls”, Anisul commented.
He further said, “In this condition, I am ahead of other candidates and believe that people will not do mistake this time.”
However, hundreds of AL leaders and activists accompanied Anisul at the campaigns where they tried to chant slogans, but the candidate forbade them.
