DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is scheduled to address a press conference at her Gulshan political office in city Tuesday afternoon.

Sources said the conference was called to protest the attack on her motorcade and obstruction during campaigning at Karwanbazar area in city on Monday (April 20) afternoon for the upcoming city corporations’ polls.

Meanwhile, BNP-led 20-party in a press briefing on Monday evening called dawn-to-dusk hartal across the country on Wednesday in protest of the attack.

BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed said Dhaka and Chittagong will be out of hartal purview due to preparations for city corporations’ polls.

He also announced to arrange protest programs across the country excluding Dhaka and Chittagong on Tuesday.
