DHAKA: Two groups of ruling Awami League’s youth wing Jubo League locked into a clash leaving five injured in city’s Jatrabari area.

The injured included a city counselor contender and also Jubo League Ward 50 president Fakhrul Islam Murad, who is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

The other injured were Rupchan, Masud, Rubel and Arif Mahmud, who received first aid.

Sources said the clash took place Sunday early morning centering the upcoming city polls.

Jatrabari Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Abani Shangkar told banglanews over cell phone that it was an in-fight.
