DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will not be able to cast her vote to elect mayor and councilor for Dhaka North or South City Corporations, as she is not voter in those areas.
 
The former Prime Minister is a voter of Dhaka Cantonment area which is not jurisdiction of city corporation in Dhaka.

The BNP chief herself disclosed the matter while addressing a press conference at her Gulshan political office Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, she sought votes for the BNP-endorsed candidates in the imminent city corporation polls in Dhaka and Chittagong.

She also asked city dwellers to cast their votes in favour of BNP-backed candidates as a ‘silent revenge’ against the incumbent Awami League government.
