DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina cast her vote in Dhaka South City Corporation at Dhaka City College center on Tuesday morning.

She was the first voter at women polling booth of the center at 8:00am.

After casting vote, the premier said, “Awami League always step forward welcoming the results of all elections.”

“We do politics for people and their verdict is acceptable to us,” she added.

Amid tight security, voters started casting their ballots to elect new mayors of Dhaka North, Dhaka South and Chittagong City Corporations on Tuesday morning.

Voting that started at 8:00am will continue till 4:00pm.

Election Commission (EC) took adequate preparation for a free, fair and impartial voting in the polls.
