DHAKA: The counting of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) polls is underway and the unofficial results have started coming to banglanews newsroom Tuesday.

According to the unofficial results from Kalachandpur poll center in city’s Baridhara area, ruling Awami League (AL)-supported candidate Anisul Haque with the symbol of ‘Table Clock’ bags 1,164 and BNP-endorsed Tabith Awal with the symbol of ‘Bus’ gets 394.

Some 1,629 voters, out of 2,390, cast their votes at the center.

DNCC chief returning officer Shah Alam from his make-shift poll office at Bangabandhu International Convention Centre, announced the result at 6:45pm in the day.
