RAJSHAHI: The body of former BNP lawmaker Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu has been taken to Dhaka after his first namaj-e-janaza in Rajshahi.

Pintu’s younger brother Nasimuddin Ahmed Rintu received the body around 11:15pm Sunday from jail authorities at the Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH).

Later, they started for Dhaka around 11:40 after the namaz-e-Janaza at metropolitan’s Hetem Khan Boro Mosque.

Earlier, the leaders and activists of BNP and its associate organization’s district unit went to the hospital to receive the body.
