DHAKA: A joint meeting of the ruling Awami League-backed members of parliament (MPs) of Dhaka and its adjacent districts will be held on Monday.

AL district unit presidents and general secretaries will also attend the meeting at AL president’s political office in city’s Dhanmondi area at 4:00pm on the day.

AL office secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap informed the media on Sunday.

The meeting will discuss about the ‘Jatiya Nagarik Committee’-organized upcoming mass reception for AL president and also Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her success in different sectors including the long-standing land boundary agreement with India.

Moreover, a separate meeting between Dhaka metropolitan city AL president and secretary general, AL-backed MPs, leaders of AL affiliated organizations and newly elected AL-backed Dhaka city corporations mayors will also be held at the same place at 5:30pm on the same day.

AL secretary general Syed Ashraful Islam requested people concerned to attend the meeting on time.
