DHAKA: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs minister Anisul Huq on Monday said that the government does not have any plan now to make law banning hartal and blockade in the country.

He made the assertion while answering two questions of M Tajul Islam MP and Selina Begum MP during the Budget session of the 10th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) that started in the afternoon.

He also said those involved in violence the recent hartal-blockade enforced by BNP-Jamaat will be tried under the country’s existing Anti Terrorism Act, 2009.
