GAIBANDHA: After detention by police in special drives, a district court sent 24 people, including an activist of Jamaat-e-Islami, to jail on Friday.

Police, in special drives, arrested them from different places of the district between Thursday night and Friday morning.

District Additional Superintendent of Police Farukh Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the district court sent the arrestees to the jail at noon.

They are accused in several cases including sabotage, the additional SP added.
