DHAKA: Jamaat-e-Islami on Sunday observed a demonstration across the country protesting the proposed national budget.

According to them, the proposed national budget for 2015-16 FY goes against the interest of common people.

In city, Jamaat men brought out a possession from Kakrail intersection to Shantinagar intersection.

Later, the leaders including Dhaka Metropolitan Jamaat majlish-e-sura members Kamal Hossain and Shamsur Rahman spoke at the street rally.

Earlier in the day, the Jamaat men also demonstrated on Dayaganj-Jurain road in city.

Party publication assistant M Alauddin Arman issued a press release in this regard Sunday evening.
