DHAKA: BNP published a book on the ‘petrol bombs’ that created huge losses of people and properties during the past political unrest and earned widespread condemnation both at home and abroad.
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser Khandakar Mahbub Hossain unveiled the cover of the book titling ‘Petrol boma santras nepathye Awami League’ (Awami League behind the petrol bomb violence) at Supreme Court Bar Association auditorium on Wednesday noon.
BNP leaders Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Joynal Abedin, Harunur Rashid and Abed Raja, among others, also attended the launching ceremony.
Khandakar Mahbub Hossain alleged that the incumbent government-backed activists blasted the petrol bombs during BNP-led 20-party called hartal and blockade to mar their movement controversial.
On the other hand, the government criticized BNP for those attacks, he added.
However, the book, adding media reports, was brought out by BNP’s human rights cell on July 1.
