DHAKA: BNP chairperson’s adviser Shamsuzzaman Dudu has been released on bail after spending about five months in jail.

He walked out of Dhaka Central Jail Part-2 (Kashimpur) around 12:30pm Friday.

Jailer of Dhaka Central Jail Part-2 Nasir Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier on Thursday, the Supreme Court upheld the High Court order that granted bail to BNP leader Dudu in multiple sabotage cases.

On January 11, police arrested him from capital’s Mirpur area during non-stop blockade called by BNP-led 20-party alliance.
