NARAIL: Police arrested district unit Jamaat-e-Islami assistant secretary Alamgir Hossain along with a shooter gun at Rajupur village under Lohagara municipality area of Narail district Saturday afternoon.

Lohagora Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Sheikh Lutfur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said, acting on a tip-off, the law enforcers conducted a drive in the area and arrested him. They also seized the gun from his possession.

However, he was made defendant in several cases, the OC added.
