DHAKA: Police detained six leaders of Islami Chhatra Shibir with 11 cocktails from a mess at Arambagh in city’s Motijheel area on Saturday morning.

The detainees include Motijheel Thana Shibir president Abdur Rahman, general secretary Afzal Hossin Himel, Paltan Thana unit president Mohammad Rusel and Ward unit presidents Masudur Rahman and Alamgir and general secretary Mohammad Qaiyum.

Motijheel Thana sub-inspector Sheikh Mofizur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

On a tip-off, police conducted the drive and held six Shibir men with 11 cocktails, he added.
