DHAKA: Jatiya Party chairman H M Ershad, also former President of the country, on Monday sent eid greetings to President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Choudhury.

Manjurul Islam, personal assistant secretary to Ershad, confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He also said on behalf of President and Prime Minister, the greeting cards were accepted by their protocol officers.

Besides, Ershad sent Eid greetings to Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Choudhury and deputy speaker Advocate Fazle Rabbi.
