RAJSHAHI: Police arrested four top leaders of Rajshahi city unit Jamaat-e-Islami, including assistant secretary Imaj Uddin, from different places of the city early Monday.

The other detainees are Shah Makhdum Thana Jamaat amir Mohammad Hafiz Uddin Isha, its rukons Zillur Rahman and Mamtaj Uddin Ahmed.

They are being interrogated in police custody. Wishing anonymity, a senior officer of city police confirmed the matter to banglanews. 

Teams of Metropolitan detective branch (DB) of police  and Boalia Thana police conducted the drives around 1:30am and detained the Jamaat leaders

 They were accused in several sabotage cases including police constable Siddarth murder case.

When contacted, Rajshahi city DB police assistant commissioner Susanta Chandra Ray told banglanews that that he was informed the about the matter.
