CHITTAGONG: Police arrested as many as 237 people including 16 activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir in port city Chittagong on Monday.

The overnight drive was conducted on Sunday.

Chittagong additional police super (Special Branch) Muhammad Naimul Hasan told banglanews that the law enforcers conducted the drive at a time in all upazilas and arrested 237 persons.

Among the arrestees, 10 were Jamaat and six were Shibir activists.
