DHAKA: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed announced the date of Moulvibazar-3 by-poll on December 8.

He made this announcement at a press conference held at Election Commission (EC) media center in city Thursday noon.

According to the CEC, the last date of nomination paper submission will be November 11 while the last date of withdrawal of candidacy will be November 22.

However, the constituency was announced vacant as former social welfare minister Syed Mohsin Ali died at General Hospital in Singapore on September 14.
