BRAHMANBARIA: Police have arrested Jamaat-e-Islami Sarail upazila unit ameer Kutub Uddin in Brahmanbaria district.

He was picked up from Kazipara of the district town on Thursday morning.

Brahmanbaria assistant police super (ASP) Tapas Ranjan Ghosh said Kutub Uddin is accused in several violence cases filed with Brahmanbaria sadar and Sarail thanas.

The accused was fugitive for a long, he added.

According to the ASP, on information, police conducted a drive at his house and arrested him.
