DHAKA: Detectives detained seven people on suspicion of members of banned outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), including four Pakistani citizens, from Shahjalal International Airport area in the city.

Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan police (DMP) deputy commissioner (media) Muntasirul Islam informed banglanews about the development on Saturday morning.

Detained four Pakistanis are –Mohammad Idris Ali, Mohammad Shakil, Khalilur Rahman and Iqbal – while three Bangladeshis are—Babul Khan, Farman and Shaheed.

A team of Detective Branch of DMP (North), in a drive conducted on early hours of Saturday, detained the seven persons, DC Muntasirul Islam added.
