DHAKA: Outgoing British high commissioner to Bangladesh Robert Gibson made a call on BNP chairperson and also former premier Khaleda Zia on Sunday evening.

The envoy reached BNP chief’s residence in city’s Gulshan area around 6:00pm and stayed one hour.

BNP chairperson’s adviser Sabihuddin Ahmed was present during the meeting.

Earlier, the high commissioner made several courtesy calls on Khaleda Zia during his tenure in the country.

He also visited the BNP chief during the countrywide indefinite blockade imposed by BNP and its alliance as a protest of January 5 national polls.
