SATKHIRA: Joint forces have arrested at least 30 people, including three activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami, from eight upazilas of Satkhira district.

The drives were conduced between Sunday night and Monday dawn.

Of the arrestees, two were activists of Jamaat and one of BNP while the others were accused in regular cases. All of them were sent to the district court this morning.

Satkhira district police special branch sub-inspector (SI) Enamul Haque told banglanews that 10 people were arrested from Satkhira Sadar Thana for their alleged link with sabotage while six from Kaliganj, four from Tala, three form Kolaroa, two each from Ashsuni, Shaympur and Debhata upazilas and another from Patkelghata.
