DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Friday advised the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leaders to achieve trust of people by working among them.

The BNP chief also declared that JCD leaders would be placed in the party posts at proper time.

Khaleda Zia made the assertions while addressing a rally organized to mark the 37th anniversary of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal at Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) in city’s Ramna in the evening.

She advised the JCD leaders to prepare themselves for the party positions instead of infighting.

“You all should be cooperative to the senior leaders for the sake of the party and people,” she added.

BNP acting general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and other senior BNP leaders were present in the rally.

Meanwhile, a huge amount of law enforcers were deployed in the area to avert any untoward situation centering the BNP rally.

Shahbagh Thana officer-in-charge (OC) M Abu Bakar Siddique confirmed the matter to banglanews.
