DHAKA: Leaders and activists of BNP and ‘Asal BNP’ (Original BNP) locked into a clash in city’s Nayapaltan area.

The BNP-men set fire to a pickup-van that carried the ‘Asal BNP’ leaders.

The clash was created as ‘Asal BNP’-men advanced to occupy BNP’s headquarters in Nayapaltan around 3:00pm on Sunday (January 17).



No one is reportedly injured in the clash.

Witness said that a group of around 150 leaders and activists of ‘Asal BNP’ marched to the BNP head office to occupy it. On information, around 200 BNP-men took position at Nightingale intersection.

Later, they involved in chase and counter-chase near Huq’s Bay of the area.

BNP activists also set fire on the pickup van that carried the ‘Asal BNP’ leaders.



However, presence of law enforcers was not seen in the area during the clash.

Earlier on January 02, the leaders and activists of BNP and ‘Asal BNP’ also clashed as the latter came to occupy BNP’s headquarters.
