DHAKA: A speedy tribunal in Dhaka sentenced four members of Jamaa’tul Mujaheedin Bangladesh (JMB) to life imprisonment in a case for blasting bomb in TSC area of Bangladesh Agriculture University (BAU) in Mymensingh during series bomb attack on August 17 in 2005.

Judge of Dhaka second speedy trial tribunal Mumtaj Begum on Thursday (March 10) delivered the verdict.

Alongside the life-term jail, the accused were fined Tk 20,000 each, in default, three-month more jail.

The accused are Kawser Alam Sumon, Yunus Mia, Mehedi Habib and Ashraful Islam.

Besides, eight accused, including Salauddin alias Salehin, have been acquitted from the charges as allegation brought against them were not proved.
