DHAKA: An alliance of progressive students called countrywide hartal for April 25 as a protest of student Tonu murder and Banshkhali killing.

The alliance informed the media on Thursday (April 7) by sending press release.

According to the release, earlier this noon, members of Progressive Students’ Alliance and Anti-colonial Student Unity marched to besiege the home ministry in city and faced police action that left nine party leaders and activists injured.

Later, the student leaders announced that they will take tougher program if the accused of Tonu murder and Banshkhali killing are not brought to the court by April 24.
