DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Saturday (April 30) alleged as many as 14 people are being killed on an average in the country everyday and the government is trying to depict this as one-off incident.
The BNP chief was addressing the national convention of Jatiya Ganatantrik Party (JAGPA) at Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) at Kakrail in city in the afternoon.
She also said: “People are being killed extrajudicially, dead bodies are being found at everywhere; many people are being kidnapped”.
Khaleda Zia also said noted citizens are being taken to remand and being dishonored.
She also asked the government to solve the problem that it has created.
She further said the government to provide the sense of security and justice to citizens by stopping violence.
JAGPA president Shafiul Alam Pradhan and 20-party alliance’s leaders and activists were also present in the convention.
