DHAKA: Police detained five Jamaat men from several places during Jamaat’s hartal on Thursday (May 12).

Ashulia Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohsinul Kadir told banglanews that police conducted drive in several places on apprehension of sabotage during hartal hours. 

The detainees will be sent to the court after filing a case against them, he added.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami called 24- hours’ hartal from Thursday morning protesting the execution of party’s leader Matiur Rahman Nizami for humanity and war crimes.
