DHAKA: BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has been staying at party chairperson’s Gulshan political office in city since Friday morning (July 29) to avoid arrest.

Chairperson’s press wing official Shayrul Kabir Khan informed the matter to banglanews on Saturday (July 30).

Earlier on Friday morning, the senior BNP leader attended a press conference at the Gulshan office to condemn police attack on the members of National Committee to Protect Oil Gas Mineral Resources Power and Ports.

‘Since then he has been staying at the office,’ the press wing official added.

Earlier on July 27, Dhaka Metropolitan Court issued arrest warrant against 59 BNP leaders including Rizvi in a case filed under explosive act.
