DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Thursday (August 11) issued an arrest warrant against 56 people, including BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, in a case filed with Motijheel police station in city under explosives act.

Dhaka metropolitan session judge M Qamrul Hossain Molla pronounced the order after taking the chargesheet of the case into cognizance.

The court also fixed September 18 as the date to submit report about carrying out the order.

Additional PP of the court Tapas Kumar Biswas confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The case was filed in November of 2013 on charge of blasting cocktails in city’s Kamalapur area during BNP-called countrywide shutdown.
