DHAKA: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir remarked that eligible leaders will be included in new committee of the party.

The senior leader came up with this assertion after paying tribute at former president Ziaur Rahman’s graveyard in city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Friday noon (August 19).

Some positions will be vacant following a party decision to give a post per person and these will be fulfilled with eligible leaders.

Alleging that the incumbent government is not sincere to diminish militancy in the country, he said they are using the crisis in their political purpose.

However, BNP will declare programs to build national unity which was stated earlier.   

BNP joint secretary general Khairul Kabir Khokon, Sechhasebok affairs secretary Mir Sharfat Ali Safu, executive member Aminul Islam, among others, were present.
