JHENAIDAH: Police detained 21 members of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir from six upazilas of the district early Sunday (August 21).

The law enforcers conducted the drives in the upazilas from Saturday night (August 20) to Sunday.

Jhenaidah Additional Superintendent of police (SP) Azbahar Ali Sheikh confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The detainees will be sent to the jail through court at noon, the SP added.
