BCL man chopped dead in Khulna

KHULNA: Miscreants chopped an activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League, front organization of ruling Awami League, to death in Khulna early Thursday (September 1).

The deceased was identified as Saikat Hasan Rohan, 25, an activist of Majid Memorial City College unit BCL and hailed from Baniakhamar area of the metro.

Khulna Sadar Police Station Inspector Farid told banglanews a gang of miscreants chopped Rohan indiscriminately at PTI intersection of the town around 11:30pm on Wednesday, leaving him critically injured.

He was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where he died of profuse bleeding, Farid added.

The police official also said Rohan was an accused of seven-eight cases filed with the police station, he added.
