TANGAIL: A district court denied the bail of MP Amanur Rahman Khan Rana, main accused of Awami League (AL) leader and also Freedom Fighter (FF) Farukh Ahmed murder case.

The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Abul Mansur Miah passed the order on Monday (September 26).

Plaintiff’s lawyer advocate S Akhbar Khan told Banglanews that MP Rana appealed for bail after surrendering to the court on September 18, but he was sent to jail as the bail had been denied.

Later, the court again denied his bail request on Monday after hearing.

Earlier on January 18, 2013, the bullet hit body of AL leader Farukh was found in his residence in College Para area in Tangail municipality.
