DINAJPUR: Police detained at least 55 people including a Jamaat-e-Islami local unit leader and seven drug peddlers in overnight drives in several places of the district on Tuesday (October 4).

They also seized 255 bottles phynsidyl, two bottles foreign liquor, 235 liters local liquor and 350 grams marijuana.

Dinajpur police control room officer Ferdaus Ahmed told Banglanews regular cases have been filed against the detainees.

They will be sent to court, he added.
