DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday (October 10) expressed her greetings to Hindu community on Durga Puja.

A message, signed by party joint-secretary general Advocate Moazzem Hossain Alal, expressed the greetings on the eve of Bijaya-Dashamai.

In the message, BNP chief hoped for peace, happiness and prosperity in the country on the occasion of the biggest festival of Hindu community.

She also sought fraternity and intimacy among the people of every religion.

Khaleda Zia hoped for peace and equity in society and asked all to leave jealousy and violence following the spirit of Durga Puja.

In another press release, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also expressed his greetings on Durga Puja.
