DHAKA: Police detained seven members of banned extremist outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from areas around Dhaka.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) deputy commissioner (media and public relations) Masudur Rahman confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Tuesday morning (October 18).

He further said a team of Counter Terrorism & Transnational Crime (CTTC) conducted the drive on Monday evening (October 17).

Details will be disclosed in a press briefing later, he added.
