RANGAMATI: Five Bangali organizations called dawn to dusk hartal in three districts of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) for Wednesday (October 19) and Thursday (October 20).

The hartal will be imposed to press the demands of cancellation of Hill Tracts Land Dispute Resolution Commission (amended) Act 2016, cancellation of Alu Tila Special Tourism Zone Project and release of Bangali leader Atikur Rahman.

On behalf of the organizations, Parbatya Ganaparishad general secretary Advocate Alam Khan announced the hartal in a press release on Tuesday (October 18).

He said that the hartal will be observed in Rangamati district on Wednesday and in Bandarban and Khagrachhari districts on Thursday.

The other organizations included Parbatya Nagarik Parishad, Parbatya Chattagram Samaadhikar Andalan, Parbatya Bangali Chhatra Parishad and Parbatya Bangali Chhatra Oikya Parishad.
