NARAYANGANJ: Miscreants chopped to death president of Fatullah Thana unit Awami Janata League, an associate body of ruling Awami League, in Narayanganj on Tuesday night (October 18).

The deceased was identified as Sheikh Swadhin Monir, hailed from Rasulpur of Fatulla Thana.

Deceased’s nephew Ashraful Islam told Banglanews that supporters of Tondameru attacked Sheikh Swadhin and his wife and elder sister around 8:00 am in the area, leaving all injured.

Local people rushed them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died under treatment at ICU.

DMCH police camp sub-inspector (SI) Bacchu Mia told Banglanews that the body has been kept at the morgue for autopsy.
