GAZIPUR: BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed got released on bail from Kashimpur Central Jail Part-2 on Wednesday (October 19).

Jailer of Kashimpur Central Jail Nashir Ahmed confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Earlier on August 18, Rizvi surrendered before Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court for six cases on creating sabotage and were kept in Kashimpur jail.

Responding his remand plea, the High Court (HC) bailed him for five cases on September 7 and for another case on October 13.

Later, the state pleaded to the Appellate Division to put a stay order of the bail in the cases. However, Rizvi got freed on bail as the apex court did not give further order in this regard.
