DHAKA: BNP on Sunday (October 23) congratulated the newly elected members of ruling Awami League (AL) national committee.

The party’s secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam in an immediate reaction expressed his greeting to the AL committee.

Earlier in the evening, the councilors unanimously reelected Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as its president as in the previous years and elected road transport and bridges minister and also party’s former presidium member Obaidul Quader as secretary general.

The 2-day AL national council was held at Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh auditorium on Suhrawardi Udyan premises in city from October 22.
