DHAKA: Awami League (AL) president Sheikh Hasina and newly elected general secretary Obaidul Quader paid tribute to father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

They along with the other presidium members and secretaries, elected in the party’s 20th national council, paid the tribute to the portrait of Bangabandhu at Bangabandhu Bhaban in city’s Dhanmondi area.

A good number of party men were present at that time.

Earlier on October 23, AL councilors elected Sheikh Hasina and Obaidul Quader as party’s president and general secretary respectively.
